One of three vehicle haulers.

It rarely snows in Eugene.

Parallel parking is a piece of cake compared to what it took to get this through that doorway.

Two covered 18-wheelers hauled the bigger equipment and parts.

Getting this down to two long-hauler loads required optimizing the beds’ length and width and pairing the equipment and parts just right.

We had to partially unload and re-load to get this just right and make room for a lot more.

Decades of dirt had piled up behind storage containers and racks left in the shop. Hours were spent sweeping and sucking the grime, dirt and dust from every surface.

The clean room (where we bond beds and accessories) was originally a large walk-in cooler and comes apart in sections.

Every panel was carefully labeled before being stacked and loaded.

The passes were snow-packed for Penske loads 3 through 6. We had no idea that “throwing chains” was a thing, but YouTube schooled us.

Ryan and Rebecca had the “chaining up” system down by the second trip they required.

Mac and Moxi, aka our security team, were troopers during the many, many trips across the Cascades. (Moxi is a pro at making herself comfortable.)

It wasn’t an easy drive across the Cascades, but it was beautiful!

It dumped 10-feet of snow on the pass during our move, which caused some “logistical challenges” — to put it lightly.

Most trips were taken over the pass and back in a day, and the views going back west weren’t too shabby.

We’re grateful for the patience of the truck drivers as we very carefully unloaded large, sensitive equipment.

Making sure we had the right equipment for loading and unloading at each end was key.

It might have been cold, but the sunshine felt amazing and the blue skies were brilliant.

Ryan and Rebecca made a quick stop to pick up all the essentials for a New Year’s Eve celebration — spent cleaning the break room in the new shop.

When you’re used to traveling in your home, it’s a rare night not sleeping in your own bed, but we made the most of it and were happy to kick off the new year in Prineville.

The new shop has two large offices, and Moxi was incredibly helpful as we set them up.

The new office comes with some sweet perks.

The SherpTek shop truck made many trips back and forth over the Cascades. It only seems fitting that the final trip required tarping the load in the rain to head to the high-and-dry side of the Cascades.

We had to move the panel saw from Shop D and all the way through the main shop in Eugene to load it up for hauling.

It’s a tremendous help to have the right equipment for the job.

Moving two full 40-foot high-cube shipping containers required special trucks and cranes on both ends. These logistics were some of the hardest to plan.

Of course one of our containers would be the one in the middle.

Watching the container be lifted and safely lowered and secured on the truck was a nerve-wracking experience but oh-so-satisfying when it was done.

It was much easier to unload and lower them down in Prineville.

It’s incredible how much you can pack into these things!
